Paris,
as represented in the two films “Amelie” (Le fabuleux destin d’Amelie Poulain) and “Paris je t’aime”

“Compare and contrast the representation of Paris in Amélie, and Paris je t’aime.”
The dissertation should be about 7 thousand words in length. She needs to research her topic, have an introduction, sections, and bibliography. She will need to use a referencing system (we talkedabout the Harvard one and that is indeed fine to use).

I. INTRODUCTION: Who are you, Paris?
When we pronounce these five letters: “P.A.R.I.S”, in the most part of the world, without any exaggeration, “Paris” conjures up magic and is connoted with beauty. In some lost villages indistant continents, as I have experienced myself when living and travelling in Iran and India, some people might not even know that Paris is a city and the capital of France. They may imagine that she is a beautiful woman dressed nicely and carrying a perfume in her hand. Some others can believe that Paris is just a happy place for spending a romantic weekend or holiday in beautiful hotels andrestaurants or where one takes beautiful pictures as souvenirs. No matter what and where, these five letters are always associated with beauty and romance. For me who has spend part of her childhood in Paris, this city represents more than anything thousands of images associated with perfumes and fresh air from the Seine which is crossing all over the city. Paris can be just an atmosphere, some sortof being which cannot exist anywhere else.
Sitting down in a cafe, or observing some monument or walking in beautiful gardens, parks and seeing the Eiffel Tour twinkling. Paris is unpredictable by its weather for example a beautiful sunny morning can end up being a heavy showery afternoon by the rain. Paris at night, with its incredible light effects on his historical monuments, on his river sideHaussmanian apartments, on its boats in the Seine makes of Paris a mysterious women dressed up for a romantic date. Paris changes figures from one district to another district, if you are in the area around Montmartre (in the 18th arrondissement) with its cosmopolitan population of coloured women dressed up with multicoloured African clothes and people from the Maghreb, dressed up in their localArabic costumes you are in a land in complete contrast with rue de Passy, only a couple of kilometres away in the 16th district where you see mostly classical French bourgeoisie.
Paris is an unforgettable place, once you’ve visited it for a long weekend or short holiday it blends you with its magic touch and fulfil some people with a dreamy sense of being that they cannot stay indifferent.II. PARIS, facts, background and history.

Paris is the capital of France and measures approximately 9.5km (north to south) by 11km (west to east) not including the Bois the Boulogne and Bois de Vincennes: its total area is 105 square km (Fallon, Wheeler and Robinson 1998 see bibliography 2).
Paris districts
Paris is made up of 20 districts or “arrondissements”, each of them have their own…
